On behalf of everyone at The Tower Theatre, we hope you’re all keeping well.
We continue to remain closed to audiences for theatrical productions and music events. Volunteer members of FHODS have been working hard on plans for the reopening of our theatre, with a variety of socially distanced productions being planned that would be safe and enjoyable for our performers, backstage crews and audiences.
We had hoped to announce performance dates and tickets for a new production of ‘The Audience’ by Peter Morgan, creator of Netflix’s ‘The Crown’ this week. This play centres on the weekly meetings, called audiences, between Queen Elizabeth II and her prime ministers, from Winston Churchill to David Cameron.
Unfortunately, the implementation of the Government’s new Rule of Six prevents us from safely rehearsing and performing this play, so we have had to delay this production, and others, for now. However, as soon as it’s safe for all of us to be back in theatres, we will be in a position to offer you all an exciting season of plays and musical performances.
We will continue to follow the government guidelines on theatre re-openings. The onsite box office continues to be closed to the public, however you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions about existing bookings. We appreciate your patience and can’t thank you all enough for your support and kind words.
Take care and hopefully Her Majesty will be reopening our theatre very soon.
